I recently had breast augmentation and I am one week post up. I regret my decision so much and I want to take them out. Prior to going into surgery, I was aware of BII. Now, I keep thinking about all the symptoms a person goes through, how bad it is for a foreign object to be in your body. I have major anxiety and panic attacks. I miss my small boobs. Since I just got them done, is there a waiting period or can I remove them asap? PLEASE HELP ME.
Answer: Implant removal Dear Brave739294, most surgeons would recommend you to wait until you are healed prior you make a decision to remove implants. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Is there a waiting period? Hello, thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear that you are feeling this way, but I want you to know that your concerns are valid, and you are not alone. Many people go through feelings of regret or anxiety after breast augmentation, and it is important to prioritize both your physical and mental well-being. I have attached a video that specifically answers your question. You are absolutely justified in feeling concerned, and it is important to take steps that prioritize both your physical recovery and mental health. While removal can happen relatively soon after breast augmentation, most surgeons recommend waiting for proper healing and adjusting to your body before making any decisions. The most important step is to talk opening with your surgeon and a mental health professional who can guide you through this. Take it one step at a time, and know that there are people who can support you through this difficult experience. Your mental and physical health are both essential, and with the right care and support, you can make an informed decision that is best for you.

Answer: New breast implant removal - is there a waiting period or can I remove them now? Hello @Brave739294, thank you for your question. Generally, an explant surgery can be performed 12 months after the implantation has been performed. In my practice, I always perform after explant, an immediate aesthetic reconstruction using the patient's own tissue using the BRALAN Technique (Breast Reconstruction Anatomical Lift Augmentation). It is also important to remove the capsule completely to prevent future inflammatory reactions. The scar depends on the specialized surgical technique, I always perform this procedure with an L-shaped incision, which for me is the smallest and most discreet incision possible in a breast explant with breast reconstruction. If you are considering a breast explant, consultation with a plastic surgeon experienced in this procedure is essential to ensure optimal results. I'm linking a video to shed more light - best of luck! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Safe to remove your implants now. If you wish to remove your implants, you can remove them at any time without a concern. The choice to remove them is the same as the choice to insert them. Speak with your plastic surgeon so they understand your decision and I’m sure that they would be happy to comply. Best wishes.

Answer: When can I have them removed? There is no waiting period and you can elect to have the implants removed at any time. You may want to first speak to your surgeon about your concerns and give yourself some time to contemplate your feelings before making a final decision.
