Hello Doctors. This is a major decision for me . I need professional opinions. First thank you in advance for any advice you may have.I have two places I can go for lipo 360 bbl . One offers Vaser lipo with local awake the other offers Vibrasat lipo with local awake. Is there a huge difference that I should choose one over the other . One is cheaper , I’m on a budget . Can I get the same results with either ? Thank you
Answer: Same or Different Results You need to look at the before and afters of similar people that you currently look like at both offices. Once you see them then you may notice a difference in the volume of fat that was placed for the BBL. Both methods can get you the same result similar to a a knife but the difference is in how one uses the knife(ie Michelin Chef vs beginner). The Vaser also uses energy to melt some fat in conjuction with liposuction while the Vibrosat uses vibration during the liposuction to remove the fat. The amount and quality of fat used to re-inject may be different (ie one method may stay better for the BBL - Vibration). Hope this helps...

Answer: How to choose a BBL provider To get a quality answer to your post I would recommend including proper pictures to start with. It would also be very helpful to him he included where you live. Personally I do all liposuction and fat transfer using local anesthesia but we also use sedation. A BBL with local anesthesia only is a bit much and it is definitely preferable to have some degree of sedation to go with it for it to be tolerable. That said the best way to find the best provider is to have in person consultations with the actual person doing your procedure. During the consultation I asked the provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures. For fat transfer such as the BBL make sure postoperative pictures are always taken at least three months from the date of the procedure. If not then discount that provider and don’t consider using them. Early postoperative pictures are highly misleading and do not at all represent what final results look like. Surgeons who use early fat grafting results as what results will look like I miss leading patients and I’m not doing the community any favors. You should ask the provider to show as many pictures as possible a patient to have similar body characteristics to your own. It helps if you bring pictures of yourself during the consultation for a comparison. Look carefully at all Liposuction pictures looking at all areas to make sure there are no skin contour irregularities anywhere. ask the surgeon to go over before and after pictures with you asking them what areas were treated and what areas were not treated. Then look carefully at transition zones between treated and untreated areas to see if they are completely natural looking. Personally I view the entire torso as a single anatomic unit and usually treat the entire torso if I’m going to do abdominal liposuction. A full torso includes upper abdomen, lower abdomen, pubic area, waist, love handles, lower back, upper back, under arm area all the way to the side of the breast. by treating the entire torso as a single unit patients are left with an even natural thin fat distribution or without transition zones. Postoperative results should have a beautiful even S-curve it from the armpit to the knees and not look like some cartoon caricatures. There is an inappropriate tendency to do liposuction of the outer thigh in order to make the buttocks look larger. Does grossly distorts normal female anatomy and creates what I called a “lollipop look”. It’s highly inappropriate and extremely difficult to correct ones performed. An experience provider should have no difficulty showing you a minimum of 50 sets of before and after pictures and highly experienced surgeons can have hundreds or even thousands of before and after pictures. I highly recommend patience avoid virtual consultations and highly recommend staying away from traveling long distances for elective surgical procedures. Patient’s do not seem to appreciate the importance of having in person consultations well in advance of having surgery, the need to vent to plastic surgeons in an interview with the number of providers before choosing, the number of people who have serious concerns about the outcomes or need revisions or the complications actually happen. In some geographic locations there’s simply isn’t enough talent and travel is necessary. When that’s the case I recommend keeping travel to a reasonable distance for follow up is easily possible by driving. There is no set number of consultations patients need to find the right provider but I would say starting with five consultations is probably a good place to start and some patients may need to do 10 or 15 consultations to find the right provider. Price is important but it’s far better to forgo the procedure and wait until you can afford it if you don’t have the financial means for an appropriately experienced and talented provider. By far the most expensive surgery is poorly done cosmetic surgery which can be disfiguring and irreparable and cost many times more than the primary procedure to attempt to correct. When in doubt slow down and schedule more in person consultations. The equipment used is not important. Choosing and a properly trained experienced and talented local provider is.
