I have a Hiatal Hernia. Can I still get a Brazilian Butt Lift? And if I can, what is the risk?

The Hiatal Hernia is the only thing stopping me from getting a BBL. Im so ready to it thats my only concern.

I always ask patients about and examine patients for abdominal wall hernias, etc. prior to liposuction.  The hiatal hernia occurs deep to the abdominal wall and should be at no higher risk than any other intraabdominal structure.  Find
 a BBL expert who
 performs hundreds of BBLs each year and has great reviews and great

Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
Your condition does not prevent you from having plastic surgery now. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.
l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.

Hello, thank you for your question. A hiatal hernia is when the top part of the stomach moves upward through the diaphragm into the thoracic cavity, and prevents the esophageal - stomach junction to adequately close. In other words, a hiatal hernia will just give you reflux disease, it should be managed with a PPI like omeprazole, and don't lay flat for long periods of time. You should not have any problems whatsoever, just talk to your doctor, he/she would gladly help you out with the matter

Having a hiatal hernia is not a contraindication to liposuction or brazilian butt lift surgery, and at no risk of injury.  You may experience increased reflux symptoms post-op due to the compression garments.
