Liposuction the transfer is meant to to be long-lasting. If multiple procedures are required to achieve the result this is discussed before any surgery is done. If a revision or additional surgery is required the reasons typically revolve around fluctuating weight. Therefore, the best solution is to find a surgeon performs this is the result you like and you maintaining a healthy lifestyle and stable weight.
Fat transfer in Brazillian Butt Lift is permanent. About 70% of the transferred fat survives and remains forever. It will gain and loose weight as you do, so if you loose weight, you will loose some of the fat that is in the cells that were transferred to the buttocks. But when you gain the weight back, those cells should fill back up with fat that you store. This is why it is best to be at your target weight at the time of surgery, because if you plan on loosing weight after, you will invariably reduce the amount of fat stored in the fat cells that were transferred to your buttocks. Hope this helps and best of luck.
After an initial loss phase, the fat becomes vascularized and remains. Find a BBL who performs hundreds of BBLs each year and has great reviews and great before and after pictures.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. After a BBL, about 70% of the transferred fat cells will survive, but this should last permanently, with exercise and a clean diet. Lifting, squats and lunges after a BBL will only help increase muscle bulk and definition and achieve a more projected buttocks. If you have any concerns, I suggest you follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
The results of a BBL are permanent. It will take 6-8 weeks to get a good idea with regards to how much of the fat took. Once it "takes", the results are permanent.
Thanks for your question.you should NOT need a revision after your surgery. If you are not happy due to volume loss or lack of projection, consider gluteal implants as they offer permanent results.
The BBL performed in the right hands with a good technique, will give you permanent Results, you have to know that we are working with fatty alive cells, if they get enough bood flow, and nurishment, they will survive and will get attached to the buttocks, in the process of the transfer 30-40% of this cells will absorb because that percentage of cells dont get enough blood flow. The injection is important to have a good distribution of fat in the area for better results. If you want to have a second round of fat grafting I suggest at least 3 months to touch your buttocks again, and if you want to use fat from the same areas (donor site) we have to see if you still have fat and wait 6 months, or use other areas like arms or inner thigh. What I like to do is to put more fat knowing that you will have an absorption of 30% and just have one procedure that reduces cost, and recovery time.
You should not require revision or a redo BBL. The fat that is transplanted lives in its new location and should be stable long term. Good Luck
