I had a breast augmentation May 2021 with Saline implants under the muscle. I’ve noticed there are 2 small holes around my incision scar as well as bumps along scar. No pain at the moment I am not sure what this could be, should this be checked?
Answer: Yes! Thanks for your question. You should get it checked out. It might be the holes created when the sutures are too tight on the skin. For the bumps, you could have laser treatment to make your scar tissue smoother and less visible. There can be an enough improvement with this type of treatment.

Answer: Recommend scheduling a consultation to discuss options of possible revision or laser treatments Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. Keloids, hypertrophic scars, widened scars, red scars, and hyperpigmented scars all require scar modulation with topical creams followed by lasers and RF therapy. Topical skincare should be directed to a specific need, whether for pigmentation or hypertrophy and our office can guide you through the process to obtain the correct Plato’s Scar cream or Melarase cream for hypertrophy and discoloration. In terms of lasers, we would employ the vbeam laser for redness, Venus Viva RF, PRP microneedling, chemical peels, and Morpheus 8, fractional erbium, or fractional co2. All of these have their individual benefits. Most of all, we recommend you visit a solid plastic surgeon who understands surgical scar revision, laser therapy, and RF therapy for scars. Answer: Scar The "bumps" are some thickening of your scar and the "hole" appears to have some suture material still present. I would suggest going back to your surgeon.

Answer: Scar Question Good morning, It seems to be the way your incision healed around the sutures underneath the skin. Doesn't indicate a problem really, and may improve further with more time!

Answer: Incision concerns The areas that concern you are likely related to sutures used during your procedure. Visit with your surgeon who can advise how best to address them. Typically it's simple interventions that can be addressed in the office.
