Multiple surgeries in one sitting. Is it safe to have all of these procedures at once?

I am having the following procedures performed • Breast Augmentation • Hi-Def Liposuction + BBL • Adam's Apple shave • Supraorbital Rim bone shaving • Anterior hairline lowering • Temporal Lifting • Cat Eyes I have been told by multiple surgeons it's safe to do so although the recovery will be Hard in the long run it will be better.

Typically, multiple procedures can be combined, but the goal is to limit general anesthesia time to under 6 hours for safety reasons. 
I would recommend to obtain an in person consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon to further discuss your options and expectations for best cosmetic results.

Hello, thank you for your question. We often will bunch together a certain number of surgeries including liposuction and breast augmentation. We do not like to do a BBL on the same day as a breast liposuction or tummy tuck just for healing purposes. Usually with BBLs we tell our patients to avoid sitting on their buttocks for at least 3-4 weeks to preserve as much fat so they sleep on their chest. We usually have a breast augmentation patient sitting upright and sleeping on their backs.  Our clinic does not do many facial surgeries so it would be difficult to say if indeed that many surgeries is safe. It also depends on your physical health and personal medical history. It is important to discuss with your plastic surgeon and to ensure that you are physically healthy to undergo surgery.

I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others.

I like to limit the amount of surgery on one patient to six hours. When you start a long procedure the risk of problems increases especially  when you consider you are having lipo and bbl

No, I would not have all thee procedures at once because of the increased risks of infections and blood clots.  You might select to have all the facial procedures done at the same time and then have your augmentation and front liposuction, or do all the liposuction and BBL at one time.  I would not suggest doing the augmentation and BBL at the same time for you will have difficulty sleeping.

Combining procedures is common and considered safe, but there is a limit.  When considering elective plastic surgery it is recommended surgical time be limited to 6 hours.  Exceeding this time can lead to increased risk and complications.  I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon.  It is likely better to break these procedures into stages.

Hi and welcome to our forum!
In our practice, we limit our surgery based upon the length of the anesthetic. We avoid going beyond a 6 hour surgery. An efficient surgeon should be able to accomplish these procedures in one sitting. My other concern is combining the BBL with breast augmentation. After the former, you cannot rest on your back and after the latter you cannot rest on your chest, making postoperative positioning difficult.
