Will a tattoo on my butt cheek stretch from a BBL?

Because your tatoo is small,  the BBL could stretch the tatoo depending upon the increase in size to your buttocks. It depends exactly where your tattoo is located. In an area of liposuction, the tattoo will get smaller. If the tattoo is in an area of fat grafting then is will get larger somewhat. It's difficult to predict exactly how much larger it will get, but I would not expect a dramatic increase.

Hi bvc4666,Depending on the location of your tattoo, the text will either stretch or shrink.  During a BBL your new buttock is shaped with liposuction and fat transfer.  In the areas of fat transfer the skin is stretched and your tattoo on the skin will be stretched and spread.  In the liposuction areas, the skin will shrink and the tattoo will appear smaller and darker.  Ultimately, I agree with the prior response and your tattoo will not change significantly, but there will likely be some change.Hope that helps.Best,Dr. B

Dear bvc4666,it is hard to predict how would your tattoo look like after a BBL. There is a chance that your tattoo will remain the same. However, a massive increase in size will probably stretch your tattoo.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS
