This depends upon the nature of the abortion, the postoperative course, the point during the pregnancy, the relative weight gain, etc. This must be evaluated on an individual basis by your OBGYN, the doctor who performed your abortion, and your plastic surgeon. If there are no complications after the abortion, 3 months after surgery may be a reasonable time period to have the BBL. You do not want to hide your pregnancy from your plastic surgeon at your appointment next week. At some point prior to surgery he/she would determine that you are pregnant as his/her office probably performs or requires a hemoglobin, glucose, and pregnancy test the day before or day or surgery.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well.I don't recommend you at all to have surgery while pregnant because it can produce a massive bleeding during the procedure. And if you are having an abortion, you'll need at least 2 to 3 weeks to heal and recover from it.Make sure you look for a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your situation and concerns.Good luck :)
