I had an option between a panniculectomy or a fleur de lis. My surgeon told me that from a esthetical side the fleur de lis was best. so I choose the fleur de lis. My belly button will be removed. Will the removal of my belly button affect any future pregnancies? Can I get my belly button back on surgically during a MMO?

Answer: Is it safe to get pregnant if belly button is removed during fleur de lis surgery? A fleur de lis TT should not interfere with having children in the future. You may need another TT or a revision after another baby. Removing the belly button is easy, but recreating one that is natural looking is a little more challenging. You need to be sure that the board certified PS has experience with reconstruction procedures so that you may have the best possible results.

Answer: Abdominoplasty Without seeing your pictures, it is difficult to provide you an accurate assessment. In general you can have another pregnancy with or without a belly button. Normally when I perform an abdominoplasty, I re-locate the belly button so that it is still there but going through a new opening in the skin that has been moved. The real key decision for you is do you want to spend the money to do any procedure for your extra abdominal skin if you are going to have another baby soon? For sure your skin will be stretched out again. Perhaps you should seek additional face to face consultations before you make your decision to have surgery now.
