Will washing face with hot water 7 hours post-Botox affect results? (Photo)

Question

I was cleansing my face with a disposable facial towelette with hot water, gently dabbing it on my face 7 hours post-Botox. Will the hot water affect Botox? I'm concerned. I really forgot about the hot water when I was cleansing my face.

Thank you for sharing your question. Washing your face with hot water seven hours after having injection of Botox should not affect the results. You should notice the results beginning in about five days and see the maximal effects in 10 days.Good luck,

Washing your face 7 hours after receiving Botox, will not harm your Botox or your results.  I always tell my patients do not touch the area for 4 hours after injections.  Good luck!

Washing the face with hot water 7 hours after Botox should not affect results. The first 3-4 hours are the most critical to prevent migration of Botox to adjacent muscles.

Hot water will not affect Botox. only if you massage very hard in the area of injections would there be a chance that it would be affected

This should not affect your Botox results.  Give it at least a week to see the final results.  Washing the face should not be a problem.  I don't recommend scrubbing the area hard or massaging the area. Regards,Dr. Ort
