I am 32 years old and I have seen two surgeons, one of them told me I could get fat transferred to my breasts to make them asymmetrical. The second told me I have tubular breasts and did not recommend a fat transfer but instead tubular breast correction surgery to expand the tissue along with implants. Can I have tubular breast correction surgery and a fat transfer in one procedure? what is the average cost of this? I do not mind if they are still 'sag' or are not much bigger. Thanks.
Answer: Breasts Your breasts are not tubular, but do sag. It would be best to first do the lift, and later do the fat transfer for better survival of the fat. If you do not want the lift, then just get the fat transfer.

Answer: Mini lift with fat transfers Your breasts are asymmetrical in volume, shape, position and tubular. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Tubular or constricted or somthing In between. Thanks for your question and the photos. A constricted breast is small, tight, conical in shape with a short distance from the nipple to the fold of the breast. It is often treated by placing an implant and expanding the lower pole of the breast. A periareolar mastopexy is often used too flatten the conical nipple to help take on the shape of the breast. A tuberous or tubular breast looks like a snoopy dogs nose, has a high fold, droop and an enlarged areola. This type of breast usually requires a more dramatic shape change that is handled with a full breast lift. There are patients like you who are some what between the two, but from your photos you are closer to tuberous. My two cents: Even out the situation first. I think you would benifit from a lift on the left and a lift with some reduction on the right. Change the shape and get the volume closer. A full lift would allow some reduction on the right. I would not recommed fat transfer at the same time as a full lift. If you are happy with the size and shape you are done, If you still want to be larger, once the breasts have healed you would be a much better candidate for either fat graft or impants. I hope this concept makes sense and leads to further discussion with your PS. Best wishes.

Answer: Tuberous breasts Dear bella091933, tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall. The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition. My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries. That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Tubular breast and she is in the correct procedure Fat transfer can increase breast volume by 1/2 to maximum 1 cup if done correctly. It does however not change the shape of the breast significantly at all. Tubular breast disorder is primarily a shape disorder with Drew penis and a constricted base Implants or ideal for correcting this and doing a Lyft will get the nipple up where it belongs on the breast and constrict the areolas accordingly. She is the most talented and experienced plastic surgeon who has the most breast surgery experience in your community. Do that by having multiple in person consultations at which time you should ask each provider to show their entire collection of before and after pictures for tubular breast or similar type breast shapes. When reviewing fat transfer before and after pictures always make sure that the after pictures were taken at least three months from the date of surgery since early postoperative pictures can look very impressive but did not at all represent final outcomes. Avoid having disappointment and the need for a revision procedure by using tridentude methods which should be an implant with a proper lift or other your breast are not severely constricted and that procedure should give excellent aesthetic outcomes. Skipping the implants will leave you disappointed and A minimal approach to the breast lift will do the same. You mentioned one surgeon wanted to expand your breast. I don’t believe you need a staged procedure using a breast tissue expander but that may or may not have been what was implied. Personally I would recommend having quite a few consultations and specifically look for the ones who do the most breast surgery in your community. Rely exclusively on in person consultations. Read all the reviews on various physician review websites and avoid providers for any significant number of justified negative reviews. The absence of justified negative reviews is more important and more telling than an abundance of positive reviews. Look for providers who can confidently display hundreds of before and after pictures during a consultation including results that are ideal, average and possibly less than average to show an honest variety of outcomes. Ideally plastic surgeons should be able to pull out before and after pictures of previous patients who have very similar breast appearance to your own. One with sufficient experience should have no difficulty doing that. Fat transfer is a good procedure if you don’t want to change the shape of your breast but it sounds like that is one of your primary goals. In other words if you just want the breast to be the same size so they fill your bra evenly then fat transfer can do that. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
