I believe I have tuberous breast - want to reshape them and I am considering fat transfer. Will that be enough? (photos)

It does appear that there is some constriction of tissue around your nipples. This tissue needs to be released in order to make your breasts less tubular in shape. Once this is done, breast augmentation can be performed to increase the size of your breasts if desired.

Hello @nebetternow thank you for your question and showing your pictures. In some cases, tuberous breasts may present extremes or mild cases of constricted breast tissue. Instead of having a round dome shape, the breasts are shaped like ice cream swirls with narrower shapes. Variable circumferential constriction of soft tissue fibers. The only way the form of the breast can be modified in its shape is through a breast augmentation surgery, breast fat transfer is not enough to give you that change. Best wishes! tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall.The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition.My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries.That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

You may have minimal tuberosity changes, but implants will help correct the shape and give fullness. Fat will not correct your shape well.

Fat transfer can increase breast volume 1/2 to 1 cup but is not a good procedure for changing the shape of the breast.

Implants will serve you much much better combined with an areola reduction if desired.

Fat transfer is not good for tuberous breasts.
