Seeking opinions on post pregnancy breast augmentation changes and possible revision options. (Photos)
I had a breast augmentation and became pregnant shortly after surgery, before the tissues had fully healed or stabilized. I’m now about 85 lbs postpartum, and my skin stretched significantly during pregnancy. Since then, my breasts have changed in ways I didn’t expect. There is a wide gap between the implants, the skin looks overly stretched, and when I lie down the implants fall far to the sides, creating a very flat appearance with visible lateral displacement . I’m trying to understand: • What might be causing this appearance (skin laxity, pocket stretching, implant position, etc.) • Whether this is something that typically requires revision • What types of revision procedures surgeons usually consider in cases like this • Whether surgeons ever offer reduced‑cost revisions when the result changes due to early pregnancy or rapid tissue changesI’ not looking to assign blame — I just want to understand what my options are, what’s realistic, and how to approach consultations without unnecessary costs. Any insight from surgeons who have seen similar cases would be really appreciated. I understand pregnancy can change results, but I’m hoping to understand whether surgeons sometimes offer reduced‑cost revisions in situations where the tissues changed before the initial result had time to stabilize. If revision is needed, what factors determine whether it’s a “pocket repair, implant exchange, internal bra, or skin tightening procedure?”
