Hi there, I am a 33 yo F with fair skin. I am looking to get a few facial plastic surgery procedures including cheek lift, blepharoplasty and possible canthoplasty. Can I get a good idea of what might be needed for my face?
Answer: Midface lift with fat retropositionon lower blepharoplasty Your cheek falling would be best handled by an endoscopic subperiosteal midface lift through a small incision behind the hairline in your temple. I’ve used this approach for over 30 years in patients your age, and it is quite effective and long lasting. I believe that a facelift is overkill, and probably would not pick your cheeks up sufficiently. A fat retro position blepharoplasty to your lower eyelids through a transconjuctival approach (without an external incision) would eliminate the bags and help to fill in your tear trough. When you smile you restore your cheeks, so volume loss is not a problem for you. Not sure that you need a canthoplasty unless you wish to change your lower eyelid shape. You did not ask, but you might consider a tip rhinoplasty. Again all of these answers are conjecture without a consult.

Answer: A Midface Lift May Be a Good Option for you. Thank you for your question and pictures! Based on the pictures you have provided, you would be a good candidate for a midface and short scar. A Mini Facelift can usually be an option on most realistic patients anytime after the age of 35-40. It really depends on your anatomy and genetics. It is best to talk to your surgeon because everybody has different techniques and recovery time is usually based on a number of factors. I strongly feel that it's very important to have an honest conversation with your surgeon about your particular situation, lifestyle, work environment and specifically which procedures you're having done so that you both have the most honest answer about your recovery and are realistic with expectations and results. Surgery is not for everyone. In today's day and age, there are many nonsurgical options to consider although surgery usually gets the most improvement specifically of the jowls. I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of facelifts but also offers all the nonsurgical options such as injectables and laser treatments. Go over your concerns with them and make sure above all, you walk out of there with several options and an idea of the pros and cons to each of them as well as realistic expectations. I hope this helps and wish you all the best in your surgery and event. If it does, please take a moment to up vote this answer on the “respond” button on the top right.

Answer: Considering surgery? What you need to know first Thank you for your question. As you can see from the wide variety of answers to your question, it is impossible to tell what procedure or procedures might best benefit you simply by looking at photos. While it is possible that a facelift and blepharoplasty may address your concerns, there are also several nonsurgical procedures that can provide positive results in a much less invasive way. My recommendation is to schedule an in-person consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and offer customized treatment options (surgical and nonsurgical) that will give you the results you are looking for. Best of luck!

Answer: Am i a good candidate Hi, for an upper blepharoplasty yes, you have some extra skin. Removing this skin will make you look more refreshed. For lower blepharoplasty/midface lift, I would say you are not a good candidate, but for fat grafting you are. You can use a little fat to fill the tear troughs and cheeks. That is a better option than midfacelift and lower bleph, especially at 33 years of age.

Answer: Midface procedures Thank you for your question. I personally like a SOOF (sub orbicularis oculi fat) lift, which restores fat from the under eye region back to its natural position. I'll often remove a small strip of skin under the lash line as well to tighten the skin a bit. A blepharoplasty is also an option, but given the first picture, I think the SOOF lift would give you a more satisfactory result.
