Had bbl 3.5 years ago. Compression pain on one side after the proocedure, increased in intensity over the next 8-12 mos, along with paresthesia in lower leg. Hard round lumps in buttock, no redness. Deep massage decreases pain/paresthesia/lumps temporarily. One lump feels like hard marble, lodged underneath the sacrospinous ligament per PT. Does this sound like fat necrosis? Would location under ligament be consistent w BBL? Date of onset and fact improves w massage makes me think BBL.

Answer: Fat Necrosis after BBL..... Unfortunately, Fat Necrosis is a fairly common complication of some techniques used in BBL surgery! Many of these chop shop, assembly line plastic surgery shops who do the whole procedure in 2-3 hours are typically injecting large blobs of fat which all dies and turns into fat necrosis. I have been doing BBL surgeries since 1997. The technique of Micro Fat Droplet Fat Grafting Is what I have always used and have never had Fat Necrosis.
