I had one of Radiesse last September and again one 2 months ago & see little difference. How many more would I need? And is voluma something I might need less # of syringes with? Thanks!
Answer: Loss of volume in temples In general correcting the temples takes a lot of syringes especially when they 1st get noticed by patients to become a problem. I prefer using Radiesse for its thickness and its efficiency (1.5 cc vs 1 cc in other HA fillers). In many cases patients will need 2-3 syringes which is equivalent to 4 syringes of Voluma or Lyft. I also like Sculptra for its duration but this will take 4-6 months to see. I often consider the temples to be the most underappreciated area of the face. When corrected it will help to soften the contour of the face to help avoid what is described as a peanut head shape (not appealing or feminine if female). It can lift the outer eyebrows to lessen the droopy upper eyelids. It can also help lessen the cheeks from looking too enlarged and it can lift the outer face which also helps the jawline. It is well worth the investment if you can afford it and if the temples are hollow.

Answer: Filler Without a photo it is difficult to determine the amount of filler you will need to correct the hollowness of your temples. It is possible that you will need 1 tube per side or more. You should make a consultation with a doctor who has experience in this area to determine the appropriate treatment.

Answer: Filler for the Temples It is difficult to know how much filler you might need to achieve an optimal outcome without seeing you in person. The amount varies from patient to patient, based on the amount of correction they need. In addition to the dosing amount, the correct placement of the needle is imperative to a successful treatment. Make sure the doctor you are working with has extensive experience and expertise in this procedure. Both Radiesse and Voluma can work well for this purpose. The experience of your injector is the most important fact in ensuring you achieve your desired result.

Answer: Temple Filler Thank you for your question! I typically start with a minimum of 1 syringe per side however every patients anatomy is different. Voluma is a hyaluronic acid filler which is a great option for temples and comes in 1cc syringe size. Radiesse is a calcium based filler which is another great option, however the syringe comes in a 1.55 syringe size so you get more product out of each Radiesse syringe. I suggest scheduling a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for a more thorough evaluation. Hope this was helpful! Best of luck, Dr. Aydin

Answer: Radiesse for temple area rejuvenation Thank you for the great question. The amount of filler needed for a given patient will depend on their specific anatomy. Patients with more volume loss, or a larger head, will need more filler. In my practice, I routinely use Radiesse for the temple hollows. I typically use one syringe per side. Please note that Radiesse syringes are 1.5cc and Voluma are 1.0cc. Both products work nicely in this area, but the Radiesse is a more economical choice. The only potential downside is that Radiesse is not dissolvable with an enzyme; so if for some reason you did not like the effects, you would need to wait for it to wear off. Best of luck and take care!
