Nose is ridiculously runny after Rhinoplasty?

While this is common after rhinoplasty due to inflammation, we cannot say from this distance that there is not some other explanation that must be ruled out.  Your surgeon will help you with this problem to assess if the fluid is merely mucus or is coming from another source.

Having a runny or dripping nose after rhinoplasty is a common and will typically resolve on its own with time. Your nose has to adjust to the new and often improved way air flows inside the nose. Besides smelling, the nose humidifies the air going into the lungs with each breath. If there is a lot more air flow, the nose tries to make more moisture to keep up. Try some sudafed to see if that helps dry things up. If that works, then it's just your nose adjusting, which can take over a year. You can keep taking the sudafed intermittently if you don't have any heart or blood pressure issues. I would bring this up with your surgeon. He or she may want you to see an ENT specialist, who can evaluate the deeper structures of the nose. If you are experiencing more frequent dripping, headaches, vision changes, and fevers you should see an ENT doctor to be checked out as soon as possible.

You should follow up with your doctor as you may be observing a runny nose which can be a consequence of rhinitis, septal perforation, or even a CSF leak.
