Hello, I am a 26 year old Asian/Caucasian female. I've had a long history of stress and smoking which has caused premature aging to my face. The fat pads around my cheeks have dropped, the skin around my eyes has thinned and stretched to make very obvious, worn looking eye bags, and all the fat in my face has dropped to my mouth region. It really doesn't feel good to look like this, my skin feels much older. Anyway, would a facelift benefit me? Am I too young for one?
Answer: Facelift Thanks for your question. A facelift is going to address your mid and lower face which you really don’t need. I think you would benefit from fat grafting to the cheeks and mid-face to add youthfulness. After seeing you in person, I may even recommend a lower blepharoplasty to remove fat from under the eyes, but 26 is young for that surgery as well. Please seek an in-person consultation. Good luck!

Answer: Best methods of facial rejuvenation on a young patient Thank you for your question. I would not go directly to a facelift at your age, and I don’t believe that would be necessary at this point anyway. My suggestion is to consider a lower blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) to address some of the changes underneath the eye. This procedure requires about a week of recovery time and the results are very long-lasting. My guess is this procedure alone would provide the improvement you want. I encourage you to schedule a consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon for further assessment and a customized treatment plan.

Answer: Facial contouring To give you our appearance a fresher look and take away some of the impact of stress and smoking it seems from your photograph that a trans-conjunctival lower eyelid blepharoplasty would be the most relevant intervention. It is carried out through the inside of the lower eyelids and therefore there is no external scar and can remove the fullness of the lower eyelids (lower eyelid bags) as well as smooth out the lines under the fullness (tear trough). You can do an evaluation of the impact of such changes using 3D imaging and simulation and it could help you to understand that your facial features are actually younger than you perceive them.

Answer: Non-surgical facelift Hi You are a very pretty young lady and there is no reason to feel bad about your looks. Having said that your looks can be improved by the following: 1. Trans conjunctival lower blepharoplasty. Fat can be removed from your lower eyelids to get rid of the bagginess. There is no skin incision and therefore no visible scar. Recovery is very fast. 2. Non-surgical facelift. There are several ways to do this. The best would be the instalift. This does not need any skin incisions, recovery period is very short, and would be perfect for someone like you. Go to a plastic surgeon who knows how to do this.

Answer: Fat retroposition blepharoplasty and minimally invasive cheek lift. Not a facelift. Fillers are an option. You have fallen cheeks and eyelid bags. While these changes are exacerbated by stress and smoking, it also in your genetic makeup. Eyelid and cheek changes are among the first changes of aging and usually start in the 30 y/o. Your stress and smoking can accelerate things. A simple loop cheek lift and blepharoplasty can help without a facelift. The blepharoplasty should reposition your cheek fat into the cheek “tear trough” area. Fillers can also help, but provide a temporary and not as natural an improvement.
