Is it common, normal and safe to perform a platysmaplasty with subplatysmal fat removal without a cervicoplasty? (photos)

It apperas that anterior neck lift which will allow direct excision of both superficial and deep neck fat would be a good procedure for you. Through a small incision underneath the chin one could asses and reduce necessary fat related deformity and adjust platysma muscle as needed. Additional liposuction of lateral neck and along jawline may further "soften" your neck. There is no need for skin resection and the only scar would be underneath your chin. In someone who is young, it is very possible do to a liposuction and platysmaplasty without doing the lateral pulls usually seen with a neck lift. this can be done through a single sub mental incision,however an exam is needed to make sure that you don’t have too much excess skin.

Based on the photographs, in my opinion, you could either have liposuction alone or an anterior neck lift through a small incision. I believe you will get a more predictable result and better removal of fat with the necklift. But if you do not want an incision or undergo something invasive, then liposuction is a good option since you are young and have good skin elasticity. Hope this helps.

so you can avoid major procedures such as a platysmaplasty (which is part of a cervicoplasty).  Find a surgeon that will provide you some credit from the liposuction procedure if its a fail so you aren't holding empty bags at the end of the day.  Best wishes on your journey...

The photographs demonstrate significant fatty deposits in the neck which appear to be located both above and below the platysma muscle. Liposuction can only accomplish removal of fatty deposits above the platysma muscle. A surgical necklift is required to remove the fatty deposits below the muscle. Once the fatty deposits have been performed below the muscle with surgery, a platysma plasty is mandatory. At age 27, no skin removal is required.
