Question

Had a neck lift 9 days ago and the drain was removed day 4. I noticed last few days that I have some fluid build up where drain was, my doctor said to massage area gently. He didnt seem concerned. I started massaging yesterday and I feel like there is a little more fluid visible today. Is this normal? Any feedback would be appreciated. TIA

Hi Anonymous1069642,Congratulations on your procedure.  To get the most out of it, you will need to have that fluid drained.  You didn’t submit a picture, but if there is fluid, you’ll want to have it aspirated with a needle/syringe, so that the skin has the best chance to lay flat against the underlying tissue.  See your surgeon ASAP.Best wishes, Dr. Jay
