Is there alcohol of any kind in Botox?

Hello, thank you for explaining the reason for your question. The answer to your first question is NO. There is no alcohol in botox. First of all, alcohol can inactive it. Second, alcohol is not safe to be injected. 
The answer to your second question is YES. We can certainly prep and cleanse your skin with something other than alcohol. There are multiple options.

There is no alcohol in botox so it should not have any effect on your monitor. Other means of cleaning the skin is possible but is best to check with the clinic to make sure they have these available prior to your appointment.Best of luck!

Great question. There is no alcohol in botox so it should be safe. Now the cleaning swabs used have alcohol so when you schedule an appointment it will nice to discuss the issue before the treatment so the practice can use non alcohol cleaning agents. Good luck.

Botox doesn't have alcohol in it, but the cleansing solution might. Notify your Doctor and an alternative may be used instead. Keep in mind, Botox results last 3-4 months. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

There is no alcohol in the botox but the skin is usually prepped with ETOH wipes.  They can be cleaned instead with water or use Betadine.  Water is not preferred since it doesn't sterilize.  Betadine will sterilize but will give an orange brownish color.  This can be wiped off with water afterwards.

Because of the way these devices are designed, it is highly improbable that the use of isopropyl alcohol on the skin would be confused for the metabolic skin events that are recorded by the SCRAM device.  However, to avoid concerns about the skin prep, you have two options: 1. No skin prep, or 2. Betadine prep.  Chlorhexidine preps should not be used on the face due to the risk of visual loss also the products can have more alcohol than the alcohol prep.  If we are talking about your personal freedom, go with Betadine.  It stains the skin with orange but this washes off.

There is no alcohol present in Botox, so you should have no issues with your alcohol monitoring bracelet.  Additionally, if you request it beforehand, your provider should have  alternatives to alcohol wipes for you.   

Thank you for the question.   There is no alcohol in Botox.  Furthermore, the alcohol we use to cleanse your skin is usually isopropyl alcohol, not ethanol, which is the kind of alcohol that people drink, so cleansing the skin should not set off a bracelet.  Lastly, there are multiple ways to cleanse your skin, so if you are still worried about setting off your bracelet, you can talk to your doctor about alternative methods to clean your skin prior to Botox.  Good luck!

There is no alcohol in the Botox solution itself. And the alternative to prepping the skin with alcohol would be using a little betadine.
