Hi i'm 5 days post op and am getting concerned about my donor area which doesn't appear to be healing correctly. The entire donor area skin has a lighter/whitish complexion which really stands out from the other parts of my head. If I run my hands through the region I feel very small hairs and lots of tiny little bumps and what feels like scabs. There is some numbness and minor pain as well. The other hairs on my scalp have grown much faster. Is this normal for healing and should I be worried?
Answer: It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen. Answer: Scabs after FUE Greetings,The donor area after FUE, whether by hand or ARTAS, takes some time to heal. Most patients heal atraumatically over a period of weeks. As your hairs begin to grow, the donor area becomes harder to see. Daily washes with mild soap can help keep the donor area clean. If scabs form, mild soap and water can be helpful. We use PRP in the donor area to facilitate healing as well. Best, Anil Shah

Answer: Discoloration In order to evaluate your case and see the change we need to see your before photos. It ıs better if you get in touch with your doctor. He would know everything about your case from the beginning till the end.

Answer: Donor area after harvesting with FUExcision technique I think it is too early to mention that I can see anything wrong about your wound healing process at 5 days PO. So, I will think you have a normal wound healing process. You need to keep in mind that the wound healing process of the donor and recipient areas take many months so I will suggest to follow your hair surgeon's PO instructions and to be patient. Good luck.

Answer: FUE donor Looks like a bigger punch is used resulting in overly harvested donor area..one must be very careful while have FUE and look for who is extracting the grafts from donor....it should be a doctor to harvest the grafts and his presence can be assured by talking to him quite often and by frequent visit of patient attendants to the procedure room....these sorts of complains are quite common in those clinics where extraction is mostly done by technicians...we can send you the guideline in case required..
