Skin tightening from Ultherapy (on the body) only lasts about a year?

Long lasting effects of Ultherapy is dependent on different variables: age, genetic factors, aging, treatment area.  In general, patients continue to see gradual improvements up to a year. Ultherapy can be used on the stomach, but it's not that effective. Non surgical options give only mild improvement compared to surgical lifting. With non-surgical treatments, skin tightening can be done with a combination of vanquish, venus legacy, exilis, celllutone/Zwave. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your best treatment options. Best, Dr. Emer

Dear muoldbody:You are correct in assuming that you should have more long-lasting results. In your situation, the laxity was due at least in part to a situation that should not be ongoing. So when it improves, it should be tighter for a very long time, and we’re only loosen up as you get older. I have found that this area responds much more dramatically if Ultherapy is combined with microneedling with PRP.By the way, you seem to understand the concept of permanence after U,therapy well. But there is a good deal of confusion when around the permanence of some procedures, which I would like to clarify. The beneficial tightening and lifting of the skin seen with Ultherapy, or face or neck lifts for that matter, as well as the smoothing of the skin, does not go away with time and in that sense, is “permanent.” We all age over time, so after a variable period of time you will see wrinkles and laxity of the skin even if you had Ultherapy or a face or necklift, but you should realize that it will be better than if you never had the treatment done. There is nothing about the changes that occur that reverse just because time has passed.
