Is Sculptra safe to use on lower abdomen? I just really want to tighten up that area.

Sculptra does not provide skin tightening. Non surgical options give only mild improvement compared to surgical lifting. Skin tightening can be done with a combination of Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis, Celllutone/Zwave. However for best results, a tummy tuck and/or skin lifting procedure can be combined with a high definition procedure at the same time. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like a VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and Fat Grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. This would be an off label use of Sculptra.  I don't find Sculptra the best option for body use or skin tightening.   I recommend seeking the advice of a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who can give you some options.  Keep in mind that RF devices do not melt fat; they tighten tissue.  Best of luck to you!

Dear BGrl:PelleFirm, ThermiSmooth, ThermiTight, Ultherapy, Microneedling with PRP and Sculptra can tighten up the skin of the abdomen and improve skin texture. I have seen the best results with ThermiTight, which is radiofrequency energy delivered by cannula just under the surface of the skin. This does not dissolve fat unless you change the settings for that purpose, because fat dissolution occurs at 70 degrees whereas skin tightening occurs when the temperature is kept under 60 degrees. But if you need to avoid any procedure utilizing radiofrequency, I have also seen excellent results with Microneedling with PRP, especially when PRP is also injected into the skin. Sculptra can be combined with this procedure for even better results especially if the skin itself is thinned or crepey.  Good luck with your research!  Dr. Clark
