Thank you for your question and for sharing your concern. For dermal fillers like Restylane or Juvederm, I would not recommend waiting any period of time after stopping Accutane or even while on Accutane. This would be very different if I was combining dermal filler's with any energy device that requires your body's ability to heal. In addition, you may want to consider antiviral treatment if you have history of cold sores.
Dear SexyTexan in San Diego,Accutane has many side effects. When prescribed and monitored by a physician it can be a great medication. No one has studied risk profile of lip injections while on accutane so there really isn't much data out there.Intuitively, its reasonable that it the two combined together might cause some problems. Given that no one really knows I would not recommend lip injections while on Accutane.Wait till you are off such aggressive medications. Your lips may thank you.Dr. Daniel BarrettBeverly Hills, CA

Little whitish bumps on the pink part of the lips can be Fordyce spots, which are relatively common and completely unrelated to fillers. Instead, they are oil gland growths. Unless radiesse was placed in your lips, which is unlikely, filler does not cause uniform little, white bumps. Treatment...
