Hi @kay9x102. I would recommend waiting two weeks for the swelling to subside. If the lump is still visible after two weeks, i recommend dissolving the product with Hyaluronidase.

Thank you for your question and photo. There is always some swelling after filler injection that can take usually 1-2 weeks to settle down. If you are still noticing the lumps at that time, I would recommend following up with your injector and they may be able to inject some hyaluronidase to dissolve the excess filler. I hope this answer is helpful! It may be too soon to assess, since it's only been 1 day since treatment, but if you still have swelling and lumpiness under the eyes, the next question is: what filler was used?
Not all fillers are appropriate for all locations and the area under the eye can really only be treated with a relatively small number of fillers that are appropriate.

There are currently only a few recommended hyaluronic acid fillers indicated for under eye treatment.  I would first make sure that the one you received is indicated for the area.  Also, realize that swelling may be a component of what you see.  The area around the eyes is very vascular, and thus, can swell for up to three days after the injection.  Finally, I would suggest waiting a couple of weeks prior to making any decisions about the final appearance.  If at that time, you are not satisfied, HA fillers can be removed with hyaluronidase.  In the mean while, try icing the area for 15 minutes at a time a couple of times per day.

Hi. Thanks for the photo. I see the swelling that you are describing. Since it was recently done it appears that there is a combination of swelling from the procedure and product. First of all, give it a little more time for the swelling to resolve. You can feel lumps of product after injections. These lumps do improve over time. Follow-up with you doctor to discuss any side effects. It does not appear to be the Tyndall effect. 

Hello,  Since your treatment was just yesterday or a few days ago, it is too early to assess the results.  With many products, especially any of the Restylane products, it is essential to NOT fill to completion as the product will undergo periods of swelling and retracting and then finally settle down at 2-3 weeks.  The filler is absorbing water so your injector must not fill to "perfection" on the procedure day because you would then be overfilled in 2 weeks.  I suggest you contact your injector to reassure yourself that things are moving along as expected and definitely make a follow-up appointment at 2 weeks to assess your results.  I wish you best results.  Shelby Bentz MD
