Hello, I'm finally in the stages of planning my rhinoplasty! I realized I want to keep at least a little bit of the bump on my nose, but I would also like to decrease the projection. Is there anyway to accomplish this? I have not seen any rhinoplasties like this done before with the doctor I'm planning, so would it be risky? The picture of old Kim k is exactly the side profile I want.
Answer: YES- I Recommend Rhinoplasty with Deprojection | Plastic Surgery | Expert | Surgical | Nose Job | Rib Graft | Septoplasty Hello and thank you for your question and the pictures. You actually have a difficult request. To properly address your nose and improve your facial balance, you would need a rhinoplasty with nasal tip deprojection to improve the overall harmony of your different facial features and achieve the look you want. This truly a surgery of millimeters- and tip deprojection is one of the most technically challenging surgical techniques! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Computer imaging may be a reasonable way to establish goals after rhinoplasty. Based on your photos, you appear to have an over projected nasal appearance with a dorsal hump and a wide droopy tip. I do not think it is feasible to achieve an attractive result with a persistent dorsal hump, even small. The goal of rhinoplasty is to allow somebody's nose to blend in rather than to call attention to itself. Please consider meeting with several reputable rhinoplasty specialist so you could formulate a plan that's right for you moving forward. Thank you for your question, and I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: Yes It is not uncommon for patients to want to get a rhinoplasty but still maintain certain features of their nose that they feel are closely tied to their identity/ethnicity. While morphing is not a gold standard or requirement by any means, I find that it can help a patient and surgeon communicate these nuances visually.

Answer: It is absolutely possible Hi from Istanbul! Absolutely, it's possible to refine your nose while preserving some of its natural character, like maintaining a slight bump. By subtly reducing the bump without completely removing it and delicately shortening the nasal tip, we can maintain the proportions and achieve a more natural-looking outcome with a less pronounced hump, akin to the profile you admire. Best of luck on your journey!
