What can I do for my breast lift open wound? (photos)

The wounds you show in your photographs are very common after this kind of surgery. It seems you have been given good advice to keep the area moist and lightly protected, using a small gauze or even a Band-Aid. Sometimes these seem to take a long time to start healing, but once they get some momentum, they usually heal very quickly, perhaps over a few weeks.

Hello and thanks a lot for texting us and for the photos and question,i will reccomend you to ask your surgeon about the wounds,we are professionals and we should be more than happy and available to assist our patients,but you will be fine it will heal once you  keep following the medical reccomendations,you are doing good keeping the wound moist and lightly protected,try to talk to your doctor ASP and follow hes reccomendations.My best wishes for you in your recovery .

Dear sassestacy,this type of wound is not uncommon after breast lift. It is usually caused by poor blood flow. I would suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon, follow your surgeon's instructions and keep your wound clean and covered. This wound at the T point looks quite small and does not appear to be very deep. I agree with your surgeon’s office that wound care with Neopsorin and a bandage is a reasonable way to care for this area. It will likely take several weeks for this area to completely heal so continue to follow your surgeon’s recommendations. Monitor this area for signs of infection such as fever, redness, or increased drainage, and continue to check in with your plastic surgeon regularly.

Hello and thank you for your question and photo's.   I would do exactly what your PS advised.   These wounds will take a few more weeks most likely but they will close and you shouldn't even need a scar revision.

hi, the best thing to do is to continue dressing it till the edges heal over, as there is no implant in there, you could take this conservative line and expect good results hope this helps, do keep me posted of your progress, warm regards Dr Prashant Murugkar

Congratulations on your recent breast lift.  It looks like you have a very nice result.  This small open area will go on to heal without compromising your result.  Follow your plastic surgeon's recommendation for wound care.  The treatment you described sounds very reasonable to me.
