Pain/soreness on one boob after 4 months breast augmentation?

Question

I having slight random sentivity around my nipple area and above my incision. Goes away and comes back. I still masssage to help with the random zingers. Is it normal? I feel like my boobs feel normal but sore on one boob. Can excercising affect it?

Hello, Thank you for your recent question !  At this point you are still early in the process and it is not uncommon for you to feel these ziggers every now and then this far out.  I recommend to just give it time and continue to massage as you are. Best of luck!

At 4 months postop you should be able to exercise without affecting your breasts. Best to return to your surgeon for an in office evaluation of your breasts. This should clarify things for you.

It is not unusual to get random zings after breast augmentation. I would double check with your plastic surgeon to make sure he or she can take a look at you and make sure there is nothing else going on. Good luck!

Experiencing random "zings" of pain is not uncommon at this stage of healing.  It should continue to decrease in frequency over the coming weeks.  If not, return to your surgeon for an examination just to be sure everything is progressing as expected.

The irritation you are describing sounds like irritated nerves.  This is normal as they can sometimes be damaged/irritated during surgery.  The symptoms can take up to 6 months to resolve sometimes, and your approach thus far of massaging and de-sensitizing the area is a good plan.  Hope this helps!
