Wearing Chapstick 12 hours after lip injections should not be a problem unless stated otherwise by your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. In my practice I encourage patients to moisturize their lips with a Chapstick that contains SPF.
Lip fillers are a great way to increase volume, shape or improve fine lines around the mouth. The swelling after lip fillers starts after a 4 hours and can last a few days. It is important to ice and to apply lip moisturizers to reduce swelling and prevent chapping starting immediately after (even aquaphor or vasoline). Chapstick is perfectly fine and recommended.
