From the single photo it seems that you have more of a DEEP radix rather than a low radix. If that's really the only concern with the aesthetics of your nose, then a non-surgical (a.k.a., filler) rhinoplasty may be a reasonable option. The deep radix could initially be filled in with a temporary filler such as Juvederm so that you can get a feel for what it looks like. If you liked that result, it could later be made more permanent with a filler like Bellafill. The advantage of this approach is really one of greater safety, lower cost, and less downtime than a traditional surgical rhinoplasty. Again, this would only be appropriate if that was your only concern about the shape of your nose. All the best,--DCPPearson Facial Plastic Surgery®
Hello and thank you for your question. Thebest advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. You appear to have a deep radix. This could be addressed with rhinoplasty. This decision shouldbe based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both youand your surgeon. Make sure you specifically lookat before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgeryperformed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The mostimportant aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommendthat you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon whocan evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Your radix appears relatively low because of your degree of brow bone protrusion. Brow bone reduction would make the radio look higher but it would be prudent first to consider whether any change in radix height would be helpful as that is easier to undergo.Whether radix augmentation would be of benefit can be determined by computer imaging or injectable fillers for a temporary augmentation effect.
There is a deep radix with a dorsal hump, not a low radix. Dorsal hump removal rhinoplasty with osteotomies and cartilage grafting techniques to the glabella can improve your profile.
Based on this picture I don't feel you have a low radix but rather fullness of the bone between and above your eyebrows. This can be reduced with orbital bony contouring through an incision hidden in the hair or at the hairline. If it is desirable to augment the radix which will be evaluated at the time of consultation this can be done from above when the excess bone is removed.
You have to give yourself some more healing time. Your nose and surrounding areas are going to be swollen for a while and you should be consulting the surgeon that performed the procedure but give yourself some time before going back in so some of it can subside. It can take up to a year for fi...
Hello, It is very common to have swelling and inflammatory changes creating nostril asymmetry a few weeks after surgery. Try to be patient as your body is recovering. Generally, nostril contours mature in about 6-12 months after rhinoplasty. If you have concerns with your recovery I r...
The decision to use a splint is made by the surgeon. If he feels comfortable not using a splint then he will have a reason for that. There a lot of structures which provide support for the nose including cartilage and skin so it is not always essential to use a splint. If you have any...
