Can deviated septum (mouth breathing during sleep) cause acne and perioral dermatitis?

Can deviated septum (mouth breathing during sleep -- the only DS symptom I have) cause acne and perioral dermatitis? Or those two conditions are unrelated and should be treated separately. Thank you.

There are no known associations between a deviated septum and facial skin conditions such as acne. Significant nasal obstruction and thus mouth breathing can cause irritation for the lining of the mouth and throat with a sense of dryness.

      There is no connection, as I see it.  See a dermatologist for the perioral
dermatitis and see an experienced nasal surgeon for issues of difficulty
sleeping because you have a deviated septum.

Dermatitis around the mouth and acne are skin issues unrelated to a deviated nasal septum. A septoplasty is performed in the back of the nose to improve airflow when there is a deviated nasal septum present.
