Click on the "Learn more" link, just below my response, or go here:FacialSurgery.com/RealSelf/RealSelf_joaarm13.htmlI made a computer morph of your nose, and an animation of the morph, to show the changes that are possible for your nose in truly expert hands.Mostly, I brought the nose -- the tip, the bridge, everything -- back closer to your face. The tip is nice and high, so that's good. It's the projection, I think, that makes the nose look strong. The woman in the short video that I posted with this answer had the tip of her nose brought back closer to her face.A non-surgical procedure would only make your nose look bigger. You should understand that the changes I demonstrated in the morph require advanced techniques, techniques that most plastic surgeons cannot handle. Be sure to read the section in the "Learn more" link on how to stay out of trouble while searching for a rhinoplasty surgeon. Rhinoplasty is an exquisitely difficult operation to get right, and you should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. Read that page very carefully. I'd love to hear what you think of the morph. Did it seem to address your main concerns? I could modify the morph to your taste if you wish.Your nose is also a good example of why computer imaging is mandatory in rhinoplasty. You need to know exactly what the surgeon is planning to accomplish -- what features he thinks he can change, and by how much he thinks he can change them. When you see his goals, you'll know whether he has an eye for an attractive nose, and whether he shares your opinion of what constitutes an attractive nose. You'll also know whether the changes he proposes are enough to be meaningful to you, and whether he understands your wishes enough to address all of your priorities. But remember, you're not hiring him for his skills with the computer. The doctor must then show you his before and after photos to prove that he can actually accomplish what he draws on the computer. In your case in particular, you need to find a surgeon who understands all of the issues I mentioned, and how they fit together, and who can actually accomplish them in surgery.
Your nose could be improved with rhinoplasty, which would give permanent improvements in symmetry and shape and will improve your profile. You can bring the photos of noses that you think would be flattering to your face and these can be discussed. When you meet with a facial plastic surgeon, he or she will consider your nose in balance with your other features and can over the cost of the procedure. I hope this helps.
Hello and thank you for your question. Based on yourphotograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. You may also benefit from a nasal tip deprojection to make the overall size of your nose smaller and a dorsal humpreduction. Make sure you specifically look atbefore and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performedby your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. Irecommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plasticsurgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Thank you for your question and your photograph. While I can’t make a definitive recommendation from an image alone, I would say you may be a good candidate for facial plastic surgery to bring your features into a more attractive proportion. Facial components like the forehead, nose and chin need to be in proper balance to offer the most cosmetically pleasing appearance. In your case, it appears your nose may be overpowering your lower facial profile somewhat, which may require a combination of a rhinoplasty (nose reshaping surgery) and chin augmentation. I advise you to meet with a facial plastic surgeon with extensive experience in both nose and chin enhancement to determine the best course of action for you. By selecting a facial plastic surgeon and an experienced otolaryngologist, you can rest assured you will achieve the best possible results in terms of both form and function. Best wishes to you!
Depending on the type of result you are hoping to achieve, you may or may not be a candidate for non-surgical rhinoplasty. Non-surgical rhinoplasty consists of injecting a dermal filler into the nose to strategically reposition different parts or hide imperfections in the nose. Not all candidates are a candidate for this.A surgical rhinoplasty would be the best and most permanent option to change the appearance of the nose. A surgical rhinoplasty can bring more balance and harmony to ones face and can definitely improve your profile. I recommend that you visit a board certified facial plastic surgeon that specializes in rhinoplasty to discuss your options.
Hi and thank you for your post! It's hard to exactly tell because the profile view isn't a true profile and other views of your face would help also...but it looks like your chin might be a little small. Options to improve this would be filler (although not usually recommended because in the long run it costs a lot more than surgery), and chin implant placed surgically. I would discuss with a surgeon what your goals are and how to best achieve them! Good luck!
