There is a great deal of variability among humans, so it is always imperative to focus on the individual. Liposuction may be appropriate, but an exam or pictures would be necessary for an evaluation.
Great liposuction results can be achieved at any age. For best results, it's recommended to be at or near an ideal weight and will depend on skin laxity. If there is skin laxity, surgery can be performed at the same time. I recommend a hi definition procedure to get the best results. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. the main consideration here is the ability of your skin to tighten up after removal of the underlying fat. You should see a board-certified plastic surgeon to evaluate you for this procedure. They could probably give you a very idea of what you may expect as the final result. With this, you can make the decision whether to go ahead with surgery or just leave the area alone.
Thanks for your inquiry, but I do not think age in itself is as important as is health and fitness. Additionally factors include own genetic makeup of skin and collagen and if we have had massive weight loss. Patients who have had massive weight loss may be poorer candidates for liposuction.
I appreciate your question. It depends on the quality of your skin and fat distribution. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. Best of luck! Liposuction can be extremely beneficial for patients between 60-65, and perform the procedure frequently for patients in the age range. As with all patients, a patient between 60-65 is a better candidate if he or she is in good overall health and has good quality skin.
Liposuction remains effective in older individuals in that it continue to successfully remove fatty tissue. However, contour is related to the amount of excess skin and fat and the most effective treatment depends on their relative proportions. Individuals with minimal excess skin, and skin that is able to retract and conform to recontouring are better candidates for liposuction, As you age, the skin can become looser and may not conform/retract as well due to changes in its collagen. For this reason, treatments that remove fat only, like liposuction, may be less effective. But without being evaluated, it is impossible to put a blanket statement on this. Each case is different and certainly many people in their 60s can benefit from liposuction. Evaluation by a board-certified plastic surgeon should be your next step to explore this possibility.
When we talk about elective cosmetic surgery, it is not really about age, but more about health and realistic expectations. A patient can be very unhealthy at age 20 and not be a candidate for surgery, where a healthy 70 year old would do just fine. The number one priority for us as surgeon's is the patient's health. Please visit with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who performs lipoplasty frequently to assure the best possible result.Good Luck!
Liposuction can be very successsful at any age. It really depends upon the quality of your skin, the amount of fat which needs to be removed and the techniques used as well as prudence. I would suggest seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area. You may be surprised at the options available to you.
Thank you for the interesting question. I'll answer by saying that it can be very successful - in removing excess fat and changing your overall contour. The uncertainty arises in how the skin will contract afterwards. There are many factors including age (decreased overall elasticity/recoil with age), the area of the body to be treated, overall health, amount of liposuction performed, etc that can affect the result and can be difficult to predict. At the end of the day, your satisfaction will depend on if you will be satisfied with reduction in the size of the area to be treated even if the skin remains loose and wavy/redundant. I recommend that you consult in-person with a plastic surgeon so that they can evaluate you and discuss your goals for the procedure. Hope that helps and have a blessed day!
Accessory breast can be removed with liposuction and breast tissue removal. The incision area will be placed deep in the armpit area, and incision size will be about 10cm, depending on patients condition.
Thank you for sharing your question. This is most likely to be due to swelling after the liposuction procedure. You should be wearing a compression garment, which is given to reduce post op swelling. You should go and see your cosmetic surgeon for further advice.
Thanks for the question. It’s too early to comment over the result. First couple of weeks after the surgery you can back to work and couple of weeks later your permanent recovery will start. It’s possible to see some major changes in Liposuction results till the end of 12 months recovery....
