If after 50lbs you didn't notice a change in your belly, it might be worth checking to ensure you don't have a hernia or any hormone issues. Generally speaking, the intrabdominal fat is the first place we lose it. Good luck!

First to consider is your BMI. If it is above 35 then it is not advisable to have surgery until it goes below that number, preferably to 30. BMI can be calculated online by plugging in your height and weight. Second thing to consider is the presence of significant intra-abdominal fat stores. If there are, then it will impossible to tighten and flatten the abdominal muscular wall.

That said, body contouring surgery of all types should ideally be timed when you are at a healthy BMI as close to ideal as possible. Some of the protuberance of your tummy is related more than likely to abdominal wall (muscle) laxity which can be addressed with your surgery.

Hard to say if your stomach looks the same after some weight loss without photos to compare. You should reach your goal weight and make sure you can maintain it prior to any surgery. An abdominoplasty will result in a tighter appearance of your abdomen because it typically includes removal of extra skin, tightening of the muscle and liposuction.

Continue to lose weight and reach your final weight loss goal. Once there and stable, then consider a tummy tuck. Don't do the tuck now, but you could consider liposuction now to help motivate you.

Ideal tummy tuck results come from when you are no more than 20lbs over your goal weight. I would advise you to lose 25 at least so you are in that range.
