Can you get a Non Surgical Nose Job while pregnant?

Question

i am not pregnant right now but i am trying to and really want to get this done in the next month, please help me answer this i have been looking everywhere online and can't find out if its okay or not.?! ps. also i live in N.C is you guys know of any Doctor to recommend..... thank you =)

If you are trying to conceive, I do not see any reason why you could not have an injectable procedure performed. Procedures are performed with topical anesthetic. Once you become pregnant, you would have to wait until after giving birth to consider fillers. I hope this helps!  And I wish you good luck! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Generally speaking, a non-surgical rhinoplasty is the use of injectable fillers in the nose. None of the fillers currently available in the U.S. should have any effect on a fetus during pregnancy. I generally recommend a temporary filler to start with (so the patient can try it on, so to speak) and that's usually Juvederm. Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid gel...hyaluronic acid is quite natural and is a major component of the extracellular matrix (i.e., the "goo" between your cells). It's breakdown occurs naturally over many months and should pose zero threat to a developing fetus. That said, given the legal environment in the U.S. you may have a hard time finding anyone willing to inject you when you become pregnant.All the best,--DCPPearson Facial Plastic Surgery®

I do not recommend you use injectable fillers if you are pregnant as there is not sufficient research conducted on the effect it could potentially have. Wait until you complete your pregnancy and breast feeding to consider injectable treatments again.

Thanks for your question.  The answer is that most of us would not inject any filler while you are pregnant.  There really is no risk, but clinical studies have never been done on pregnant women, although many women have become pregnant with fillers on board and have never had any problems.  But we need to be realistic here and we really do not do any of these kinds of procedures – fillers or toxins or lasers – on anyone who is pregnant.  Wait until after your baby is born.
