My nostrils are uneven, and although no one has ever commented on it, it makes me insecure. Is there anyway to fix this without surgery? If not, what is the average price of the surgery?
Answer: Slight nostril asymmetry is normal. The nasal aperture on your left is a drop smaller than on your right. This could be from a deviated nasal septum, however, if you're not having trouble breathing through your nose, this is imperceptible and maybe left alone.

Answer: Fillers May Help To Correct Or Lessen Certain Nostril Asymmetries Fillers may be helpful in correcting this form of asymmetry between the nostrils. Filler could be added to columella of the right nostril and well as to the lower inner wall of the right nostril opposite the columella. Before embarking on therapy, I would suggest that a test, using either saline (salt water) or diluted lidocaine (anesthetic solution) be used in these two locations to get a real-world idea of the degree of improvement that might be obtained via the actual use of a filler. The results of these test injections last only about five minutes or so before the injected solution is reabsorbed, but this is usually sufficient time to assess whether the subsequent actual use of the filler would get the job done. Injecting the nose is an advanced injection technique that should not be left to the hands of inexperienced, novice injectors or medspas. So be sure that you consult with an experienced, board certified aesthetic physician before going forward with treatment.

Answer: Improving Nose Shape with Non Surgical Nosejob Needs--Fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) Facial fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) can be used to improve the symmetry, but surgery would be needed to change the nostrils. I recommend getting a formal consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist to go over your desired results and best treatment options. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Is there anyway to fix my uneven nostrils? Thanks for your question and photo – it really helps. We always recommend that you have a consultation with a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to assure that you are getting the most appropriate consultation. As Dr. Emer points out, fillers can be used for symmetry changes, but in your case, surgery may be needed to actually change the size of your nostrils. If you chose to have fillers, one needs to be aware that this needs to be done by a true expert – that you understand all the associated risks injecting into this area, and that again, only a true expert be allowed to do the procedure. Best of luck.
