The use of an injectable filler to lift the nasal tip is certainly nothing new. I have before and after photos of this technique in my personal collection dating back at least seventeen years when Radiesse (then known as Radiance) was used for this purpose injected precisely into the location designated by the arrow in your photo. Relatively recently, a more sophisticated technique out of Italy using hyaluronic acid-based injectables not only addresses the lift but helps to sculpt the nasal tip itself to maintain pleasing proportions between lift and projection. Occasionally, in appropriate circumstances where there are accompanying nasal bridge abnormalities, nasal tip lift can be achieved simply by addressing this issue as can be seen in the before and after photos of a patient of mine in the sidebar to this column treated for that kind of problem. In the NY area, the cost may range between 875-1250 depending upon the material(s) chosen.  I strongly advise against any self-treatment as the nose is an area that should be reserved for advanced physician injectors only. It is replete with blood vessels that if compromised, at best, can lead to permanent necrosis and scarring of the nose and at worst to blindness. Likewise I suggest that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician with expertise and skill in performing nonsurgical nose jobs and make certain to ask to see his/her before and after photos before agreeing to proceed. I don't recommend trying to learn to do this yourself. These fillers (voluma, restylane, juvederm) in combination with Botox may be used to try to lift the nose-tip. It will last between 6-8 months. Cost will vary. I recommend getting a formal consultation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
