Breast/nipple/sometimes armpit pinches, stings, pains

Question

I had my second breast augmentation 4/29/2021. I went larger,under the muscle, inframammery. Since last July (2023) I’ve experienced random bits of pinches, stings, pains in the sides, tops, nipple, sometimes armpit. It would go away after several days for a bit and then come back. Here recently it’s been for a solid month of pains like this daily. I have had 2 ultrasounds and an mri of the breast and all have come back clear. However this pain is annoying and it always has me in my worries!!

It is not typical to experience regular breast pain this far out from surgery.  It may be that the implants you selected are too large.  An exam by your surgeon is needed to help determine the cause of your discomfort.

You did not state what size implants you have. If they are large, they may be too large for your frame and tissue. Otherwise, you might have some capsule formation. Go back and let your surgeon check you.

It’s unusual for patients to have breast pain after breast augmentation.
However, lots of women have intermittent breast pain whether they’ve had surgery or not.
It’s unlikely your breast pain is related to how the surgery was performed.
Many women have breast pain without having an understood or underlying ideology.
 There’s a fair amount of information about breast pain available online or you can talk to your primary care provider.
