To make a quality assessment regarding the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we generally need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have proper before, and after pictures to ask your surgeons to forward, the pictures they took. You write breast looks fine to me, but your left breast looks like there is still skin redundancy. I’m guessing you had significant breast asymmetry Before the procedure. Revisions after augmentation mastopexy is fairly common. I suggest you follow up with your provider and discuss your concerns with him or her. If you don’t get the help or support, you’re looking for then consider having an in person second opinion consultation with another provider or two. For second opinion consultations, I suggest patients come prepared to bring with them a complete set of proper before and after pictures, and a copy of your previous operative report. These are all part of your medical record which you can request from your current provider. I recommend patient avoid virtual, consultations and schedule consultations as in person meetings, which gives you an opportunity to get a quality assessment, ask appropriate questions, and begin the vetting process of finding the right provider. During in person, consultations, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients, who have similar body characteristics to your own. For common primary procedures at provider should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Before and after pictures of revision surgery will be less since primary procedures are more common. There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find the right provider. The more consultations you scheduled the more likely you are to find the best provider for your needs. Scheduling only one consultation, eliminates the ability to choose the better provider. I think with a revision procedure your outcome should be improved. We can’t really judge the outcome without knowing what you look like before. The arm pain is unfortunate. Some discomfort is not uncommon after surgical procedures. Again, I suggest you bring this up to your provider. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
