Both of my lateral incisors are small. I have braces on right now, so they put coils on both of those teeth to make room for veneers after my braces are off. I will only be getting veneers on those 2 teeth. I was wondering if only 2 veneers would look weird. Will the shape and color match the other nornal teeth?

Answer: Veneers Veneers match the colour and shape of teeth perfectly. You cannot differentiate between a natural tooth and a well done veneer at the end of treatment.

Answer: Will 2 Veneers look weird compared to all myother normal teeth? You should be able to obtain a very natural result with 2 veneers on your lateral incisors as long as you find an experienced and skilled dentist. You should definitely ask to see before and after photos of patients with similar treatment. Also, ask the dentist how much preparation or filing of your tooth is necessary to place the veneer. Some dentists over-reduce teeth when it is not necessary, causing undue sensitivity. There is another option that you may wish to look into. It is based on a breakthrough in Cosmetic Dentistry and was developed by Dr. Harvey Silverman, a cosmetic dentist in the Cleveland area. It is called ProVeneers(formerly EasySmile Veneers) and is based on a resin based foundation material that allows for a ProVeneer to be custom fabricated chairside in 1 short visit with no drilling or filing down of your teeth required. The fee is less than 1/2 of a porcelain veneer, and the results are very natural looking, not fake. The system allows for the dentist to place a Preview Veneer, so you can see how the final result will appear, before you decide to accept treatment. This is not possible with a porcelain veneer. You can get information on the this new breakthrough by doing a google search for EasySmile Veneers or for Dr. Harvey Silverman. I have been offering this procedure in my office for the past two years with great success. One question that is frequently asked is how long these will last.
