I just had one front tooth veneer placed back in October. I'm due for my 6 month cleaning and in doing research I see that a veneer should be treated carefully when getting a cleaning. ie. it says to be careful with the scaler and not to use abrasive polish at the end. I have emailed some dental offices (including cosmetic dentists) asking if they do anything differently for veneers and their answer is no, nothing is done differently. Should I be worried?
I want my top teeth at the front to show more when I talk, smile or have my mouth open. they are a little set back too and I would like them to protude a little more. which procedure do you think may be more suitable? I am struggling to decide. would a lot of my teeth be removed to have veneers?
A few years back I had 1 crown w/ post and 3 Veneers put in. Since have them installed I feel a pressure between two of them that radiates up through the bone. When I clinch my teeth i feel the pressure between the crown and the veneer. I think they were placed to tightly. I can barely floss between the two teeth. Is there a tool that can relieve the pressure between the two teeth? My dentist has not provided me with a solution and the constant pressure/ feeling is causing me to go mad.
I recently had porcelain veneers done. Dr took photos of them before cementing. I sat up after he cemented, looked in the mirror and at first glance felt like my front tooth looked snaggled. Like maybe it sticks out more than the other. He assured me they're placed correctly. He has since posted them on his social media before he cemented my teeth and I see my teeth bottom edges were aligned before cementing and not now. Could he have placed them wrong? Is this easily fixable?
hi. I got veneers but I think they look not natural enough in different lighting. they look kind of dull and opaque. I have to say that mine are not chicklets, they are not paperwhite either. still, the current look does not make me happy. a new dentist told me that my current veneers are done pretty well, but the extra natural look that I want is possible only with a more transluscent material. he recommends the brand amber is this material good to achieve the most natural look?
I have a dental bridge I'll be removing. I'm getting and implant and both anchor teeth are crowns with root canals. The bridge has turned darker and grey over time. The teeth next to my root canals seem more yellow now too. Should I get veneers on all teeth??
I had 10 veneers placed about 8 months ago, and Ive recently noticed that my bite feels off, with my upper teeth positioned too far forward compared to my lower ones, similar to what I've read about overbites. Since then, Ive been experiencing jaw pain, and Im starting to feel unhappy with my smile all over again. I have an appointment scheduled, but Id really appreciate any insights or suggestions for possible solutions.
Help! Im not sure if Im being way too picky. I had 8 upper crowns and my front teeth are different sizes and its driving me crazy. Am I just being too picky or should this have been addressed
