Can a Veneer fall off and then not be able to put back on?

consawyer95
I'm thinking about getting my top set of teeth done. I've herd they can come off and then be put back on but is there a chance they could come off and not be able to be out back on and I would be left with no top teeth? I've been looking online but can't find a answer to this question anywhere lol.. Thank you in advance.
