Question

i have a breast augmentation on the 7th July, I by accident caved and had a vape for one day and regretted it. will this effect my results and healing from 20th june till 7th july?? I'm super healthy exercise loads, i eat a of fish, chicken smoothies with spinach - kale and work out loads. i'm just looking for some advice to see if i'll be okay

Nicotine in any form should be stopped prior to surgery and throughout the recovery period.  Nicotine use can lead to issues with infection and healing, among others.  One use of the vape should not significantly impact your risk however this is something that you must discuss with your surgeon.  She/He will make the final call.

One vape will not hurt the outcome. I tell my patients that smoking and vaping are variables that can impair healing with cosmetic surgery procedures. Breast augmentation is one procedure that requires only one small incision/breast, do the healing is not as complex. Healing is one issue, the other is coughing after surgery which you want to minimize. No more vaping, nice deep breathing and a healthy lifestyle before and after surgery, and you should be fine!
