I'm a woman, 29 years old, about 168 cm tall and around 60 kilograms. I have always struggled with the sight of my legs but not overweight. I have read about liposuction and cool sculpting, as well as lipolysis. What treatment would be best for this area, and would it make my skin look saggy afterwards? I also have cellulite in this area, would this get better/worse? Would there be a treatment also to target the (fat) bulge on the inside of my knees? I don't want to go under full anesthesia.
Answer: Fat above knees In our clinic, we've used both CoolSculpting and liposuction in the right cases to improve this area. The answer depends on your skin quality. IN person examination is helpful in telling whether you're a good candidate. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. Be certain your surgeon is properly certified. I've attached a link where you can start your search.

Answer: CoolSculpting above the knees Hi, thanks for your great question. We have had amazing results using CollSculpting to treat the area above the knee, and also the inner knee area as well. The great thing about CoolSculpitng is that it is non-surgical, non-invasive and does not require any anesthesia. The results are smooth, natural looking and permanent. Skin laxity is rarely an issue, unless the patient has excessive skin to begin with. Most client need at least two treatments in order to achieve optimal results, as each treatment will remove 20-25% of the fat cells in the treated areas. Unfortunately, CoolSculpting will not directly address the issue of cellulite. However, when the amount of fat is decreased, many clients do find that the cellulite is not as noticeable. We have performed this particular treatment of thousands of clients who have been thrilled with the way their knees look once the results present. I wish you all the best.

Answer: Coolsculpting for knee fat Thank you for your questions and picture. Coolsculpting is a great non invasive and with no down time option for the treatment of stubborn fat around the knees. Coolsculpting is not a procedure for cellulite. However, you may see a decrease in the appearance of cellulite after treatments and skin sagginess following procedure should not be an issue. I recommend consulting with a Coolsculpting Certified practice for a proper consultation, treatment plan and best results. I hope this help. All the best, Dr. Michon

Answer: CoolSculpting Knees Hi Mies88- CoolSculpting is a great option to avoid anesthesia or surgery. Based off of your photos, it looks like you would be a very good CoolSculpting candidate. CoolSculpting is FDA-cleared to treat the fat bulge above and around the knees. It is completely non-invasive (no needles or downtime). CoolSculpting is not a cellulite reduction procedure, however, your fat reduction results may decrease the appearance of cellulite once you have reached full results. I would recommend that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and review your CoolSculpting treatment plan. My Best, Dr. Basile
