Is it possible to perform a fat transfer to hips without doing a BBL? (Photo)

Question

I have asked a few doctors and its like they are trying to force me into getting a BBL just to get more money. One even said I needed a tummy tuck and I barely have a stomach as it is lol

If you go to the right physician, they will give you an option for your goals.  If you are looking for hip shaping or contouring rather than buttock size, that can be achieved if you have the fat to harvest and if the procedure is going to help bring your body into proportion and not make you look strange.  Liposuction can be performed around the areas to give it better contour.  I suggest seeing a body contouring specialist who will take your goals and come up with a good surgical plan for you. Have you had any surgery before? Have you had children? The pictures you show are not very good. It looks like you do not have much fat to harvest and that you have some laxity of the waist skin already. I am not sure surgery is the right answer for you! Good Luck

Dear autie86,A Brazilian Butt Lift is designed to add fullness, volume and shape to the buttocks.For most people, best results are obtained by transferring fat to the central and outer buttocks, while also performing liposuction of the lower back and flanks.However, each patient is unique. In your situation, it appears that you have a limited amount of fat available for transfer, and you may wish to focus on adding volume and fullness to the hips/lateral buttocks only. It's important to have realistic expectations as the limited amount of fat limits the amount of enhancement possible.Some surgeons may still call this a Brazilian Butt Lift, while others may call it fat transfer to the hips. The name of the procedure isn't so important, but what is to be done is.Please see an experienced, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for an evaluation.Be wary of traveling abroad for surgery. Hello,Thank you for the nice question. Also thank you for taking time to submit photos to help answer your question. You do not have to have a Brazilian butt lift to transfer fat to hips or an area you desired for augmentation.  This is provided that you do have to have enough fat for the Liposelection transfer.The Brazilian butt lift is the result when we use this technique for the buttocks. But we use it in other areas such as the lateral thigh, midface projection, and even with small amounts into the abdominal muscles and shoulder muscles to enhance a more athletic look.I have found Liposelection, or the subtracting of fat from unwanted areas combined with fat transfer to deficient/desired augmentationare areas  a very useful technique for body contouring over the last decade.With addition of VASER Liposelection over last few years , several colleagues and I have found that We've been able to get more high-quality fat for transferring in patients with lower body fat then we were able to do before.
