I'm Asian. My face is square and flat. Will radiesse injections in my cheeks will make my face look more contoured?

Without examining you in person and without seeing the photos, it is tough to say if Radiesse is your answer.  You should consult with a physician who is an expert in Asian face contouring, and I also believe that  you should explore the possibility of having Botox injection into masseter muscle which might be helpful in your situation. Yes, radiesse could give you more contouring in the cheeks. These fillers (Voluma, Bellafill) and Sculptra can also be used to create visible cheekbones. Implants or fat would be alternatives. I recommend getting a formal consultation with a facial contouring expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Radiesse is a great filler to "replicate" structure.  It is best used in areas where there is thick skin that needs lifting (lateral cheeks, jawline, temples, etc).   Make sure to seek out an expert injector who will take into account both the resting and active volume in your face.  Best of luck.

I prefer to use Radiesse in the temples and filler like Voluma or Sculptra to build volume in the cheeks. Without seeing you, it is very hard to say if one of these products would be right for you however these are volume builders and can help patients get that contoured cheek look. I would suggest an in-person consultation with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to determine a customized treatment plan for you, based on your needs and goals.

 Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, facial implants (cheek, chin), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years. Following the beauty principles outlined in my book on face and body beauty, men look chiseled and handsome with angularity in the cheeks, chin and mandibular angles.  Non smiling photos of your face from the front and side would help in the evaluation. The following procedures would create a more ruggedly handsome face.

Cheek augmentation with cheek implants to add angularity to the cheeks and mid face.  This would be combined with liposuction to reduce any excess facial fat to further define the cheek shape.
Chin augmentation, using a chin implant, to add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face.  I have performed many Chin Augmentations using chin implants for over 30 years.  From the photos, your chin is weak.  A weak chin creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy and the lower face look short that de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a double chin.  Chin augmentation using a chin implant will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face.   I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty.  I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone.  In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery.
Augmentation of the mandibular angles using a dermal filler (jaw implants have too many unwanted side effects IMHO) to add volume, angularity and flare to the jaw line.
