Can my 6 inch long, white, raised, forehead surgical scar be improved? (Photos)

Thank you for your question & I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with the results of your procedure. After looking at both your before and after photos, it appears that you had a couple substantially deep lines before your mid level brow lift, because of this there is no 100% guarantee that the scar will go away completely. Give it some more time, as it may get better. If time is not the answer you are looking for you may also try a Deep FX/CO2 laser treatment which can dramatically help reduce lines and wrinkles. Best of luck,Dr. Wayne 

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Hi Doug, I am sorry that you have this scar. It is unfortunately in a tough location but seeing a well-trained facial plastic surgeon or general plastic surgeon that works on the face may help. Dermabrasion unfortunately seems to not have been satisfactory. Steroids can be of help in hypertrophic scars. Making a scar irregular like a geometric broken line closure can break up the eye's ability to track the scar, and therefore makes it less visible. Laser therapy may also make the scar less visible. Good luck with your care!
