I have 6 titanium screws at my L5-S1 lumber region and wonder if they will heat up during an abdominal Emusculpt?

Therefore, you may be able to do the treatment with the titanium screws. Please seek a certified health care provider to determine if you are an ideal candidate for the treatment.

Hi, thanks for your interesting question.  The company line is that Emsculpt should not be performed when there are metal implants in the body.  The risk is not that metals will become heated, but rather that they will move and become displaced.  However, most physicians will exercise medical judgement regarding true risks and benefits of this scenario.  Emsculpt will only reach as far down as 7 cm under the skin so you would actually have to be quite thin for the EM energy to reach your spine.  An in-person consultation with an Emsculpt provider would be needed to make the final determination.
