I am 42 have had 3 kids 2 C-section! I’m really into fitness and eating week but I absolutely hate the indentation from my C-section scar. I also feel like I have abs separation in the lower part of my abdomen that I would love repaired from the outside. It doesn’t look like I probably need a tummy tuck, but when I am in a push-up position, the lower abdomen hangs down a little bit

Answer: Mini TT Dear Cole011903, a mini tummy tuck is great if you are just looking to flatten the skin below the belly button. It does nothing for the skin above the belly button. A full tummy tuck address all of the skin laxity and abdominal wall laxity. It repositions your umbilicus as well. It costs more and has more downtime associated then either of the above. I would recommend consulting with a plastic surgeon that can go over in detail these three options and spends time answering your questions. Answer: Modified TT A gentle, not too heavy handed repair of your lower rectus would be possible, and possibly desirable, with a modified tummy tuck (no belly button incision). This will sufficiently tighten lower and mid belly skin and flatten the lower abdomen. I prefer not to use the term 'mini' because the length of the incision and resultant scar varies depending upon anatomy (skin laxity), and may be longer than the patient realizes.
